Position Summary

This is a great opportunity for a fun, friendly, creative and passionate Marketing Manager. This position has been created to take control of the management of our sales & marketing for all our venues under the United Restaurant Group umbrella.

It will include elements of (but limited to) budgeting, forecasting, data capture/retrieval and analysis, and demographic awareness, as well as strategic planning and delivery.

You will be responsible for driving our Brands forward within Bournemouth/Dorset area, ensuring the right message is achieved using your strong service leadership and communications skills, and exceptional marketing expertise. As a small independent Group, we have complete freedom to push the boundaries and try new things, we're not governed by processes like most of our competitors so we make decisions and implement them quickly.

In this role you will be expected to drive sales through being innovative, methodical and entrepreneurial in your approach, which a proven track record is essential.

The role provides excellent autonomy and leadership, and will form part of our Senior Management team, thus you will work closely with our senior team and be responsible for supporting our marketing assistant to ensure the overall business objectives are reached. Being pro-active, ability to problem solve and think on your feet is a must. You will work closely with venue General Managers and report to the Operations Director and Managing Director.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative, creative and targeted marketing activity including all planning, briefing and delivery, from pre-awareness through to launch and beyond
  • Drive for innovation across all channels to produce market leading campaigns
  • Ensure that delivery of all creative, media, and digital plans are on brief and within budget
  • Ensure all marketing campaigns are implemented to optimum efficiency with demonstrable metrics
  • Measure and evaluating campaigns, share learnings and optimising for future activity
  • Work to understand distributions and inform target audiences
  • Work with our media partners to influence reader interest and expand our consumer reach
  • Support a culture of collaboration and integration, working closely with other key stakeholders to ensure that all needs are met
  • Keeping abreast of what is happening in the local community, and be pro-active to get ahead of market changes, local developments and seasonal events
  • Line management duties as required
  • Developing, managing and maintaining an accurate marketing database
  • To work closely with our venues and make regular visits, being the face of marketing, ensuring you provide a senior presence.


Key Skills/Experience - Essential

  • A marketing Genius!
  • A minimum of 2 years' management experience in a challenging B2C marketing position
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • Comfortable working across all channels of the marketing matrix
  • Ability and excellent track record in generating great creative strategies with proven ROI
  • Ability to amplify creative thinking across various media disciplines
  • People skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Creativity essential

  • Copy-writing capabilities
  • Creation and implementation of integrated campaign plans
  • Budgeting and planning skills and knowledge

  • Back office database, CRM systems


Desirable
